From 3G to 0G

If you’ve been following me on my London trip, you may have noticed a lack of updates over the last 24 hours. Unfortunately the updates will remain sparing until Monday when I return to Canada.

This weekend I’m in the English countryside attending an event that is exciting to me on a personal level. The event being in the country means data access is off the table. Bear with me though as more details will be posted on Monday.

For now, sleep.

Rain or shine

Another wonderfully grey day in London.

I’ve realized that percentage chance of precipitation means something entirely different in England. In Toronto when the forecast says there’s a 30% chance of precipitation, it means there’s a 30% chance of it raining at all. In England it means it’s going to rain 30% of the time.

Since the percentage of precipitation is always greater than zero, this basically implies some rain every day.

Don’t forget your umbrella.

On your marks, get set…

My very first flight off the continent of North America is less than 24 hours away.  I’m not nervous at all, though I thought I would be.  God knows I’m spectacularly overdue for a vacation.  So, herein lies the travel blog of one Sohail Mirza, and whosoever accompanies him on his journeys.

I’ve got a lot of catching up to do as far as travelling is concerned, but there can hardly be a more fitting first destination than London.  Look forward to an account of my time there, and wherever else I end up on this amazing planet of ours — and I do hope to wind up in many truly amazing places.
